Men's Health Month

Whiti Te Rā - Celebrate the Positive!

Every year June has been the month to observe and promote Men’s Health Week. It also coincides with Matariki - The Maori New Year which gives a chance to reflect, refocus and re–energise our efforts to achieve those things that matter most in our lives. Thanks to Men’s Health Trust NZ we’ve now got a whole month to focus on this extremely worthy and important kaupapa. Here at Mana Tãne Ora o Aotearoa we’ve chosen to use this month as an opportunity to focus on the positive. We know the stats and the bad news out there about our poor status of health as Maori men but what about the all the good work taking place at grassroots and at a national level? There’s a lot to celebrate e hoa ma in terms of the drive, determination and effort by champions of the tane ora kaupapa. On behalf of Mana Tãne Ora o Aotearoa thank-you to everyone out there doing your bit no matter how big or small.
